Sound of Metal” continues to rack up nominations during the 2021 film awards season. The movie is nominated for six Oscars at the 93rd Academy Awards, and you can watch it now on Prime Video.

The Amazon original film follows Ruben (Riz Ahmed), a drummer and recovering drug addict who’s known for touring with the heavy metal band Blackgammon. But when Ruben begins to experience hearing loss, his future as a musician is put into jeopardy. To help cope with the situation, he checks into a deaf community shelter for addiction.

Sound of Metal” received 2021 Oscar nominations for best picture, best actor in a leading role (Ahmed), best actor in a supporting role (Paul Raci), best original screenplay, best sound, and best film editing. The movie has a 96% “Certified Fresh” rating on review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
