- I enjoy working from home on a laptop, but using the trackpad is not efficient for my daily tasks.
- I needed a lightweight, wireless mouse with Bluetooth capabilities for a reasonable price.
- For less than $30 on Amazon, I bought the Logitech Pebble M355 and now I use it every day.
I love working from home on a Macbook Pro, but I hate using the trackpad for everyday tasks. After a few weeks of answering Slack messages and writing articles, I knew that I needed to find a decent mouse to improve my work efficiency.
While browsing Amazon, I searched for a mouse that was portable, cheap, and could connect via Bluetooth. This mouse would be dedicated to my office and not used for any other tasks, like gaming.
Following about an hour of research, I decided to get the Logitech Pebble M355. The simple design and promise of quiet mouse clicks drew me to the product. I bought it a few months ago, and I use the wireless mouse every day.
The plastic top comes off the mouse for straightforward battery changes. A battery comes with the mouse and Logitech estimates it will last for 18 months.
Three magnets in the mouse align with metal screws on top for a secure connection.
I only use the Bluetooth capabilities, but you can also pair the Logitech Pebble M355 to your laptop via a wireless 2.4 GHz connection with the included USB receiver stored inside the mouse.
The bottom of the mouse features an on/off switch, a 1,000 dpi optical sensor, and a button to switch between USB and Bluetooth connections.
The Logitech Pebble M355 is a simple, no-frills wireless mouse, but it does everything I need it to for an affordable price.
Should you buy the Logitech Pebble M355 wireless mouse?
My experience with the Logitech Pebble M355 has been overwhelmingly positive. The mouse is easy to connect to my MacBook via Bluetooth and it delivers a huge improvement over a trackpad. With high precision optical tracking, the mouse movements feel steady on multiple surfaces.
Clicks on the Logitech Pebble M355 are as quiet as I hoped. For me, the main drawback is that the mechanical scroll wheel has gotten louder over time. Scrolling through web pages is a little noisier after a few months of owning the mouse but not loud enough to be a deal breaker.
That said, if you’re looking for a mouse to play video games or ease wrist pain, this is not the best option. I would recommend the Logitech Pebble M355 to anyone working from home on their laptop who just wants a simple, lightweight, and affordable mouse for answering emails and browsing the web.
