Verizon Unlimited customers can get a free year of Discovery Plus, right now. For those unfamiliar, Discovery Plus is a subscription service that gives you access to tons of shows from Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, and more.

Discovery Plus, and its cavalcade of reality TV shows, typically costs $5 per month, or $7 per month without ads. But with this special offer, Verizon Play More or Get More Unlimited users, as well as new Fios and 5G Home Internet customers, can get an ad-free subscription, valued at about $84, free for one year.

Verizon Unlimited plan, Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, and Start Unlimited users are eligible for 6 months of free Discovery Plus access.

To redeem your free 6-month, or annual subscription to Discovery Plus, here’s what steps you need to take

  • Log in to your Verizon account.
  • Find the “Account” section at the top and click on the “Add-ons & apps overview” menu item.
  • Scroll down to the “Your add-ons” section and click on the “See eligible add-ons” button.
  • Find Discovery Plus and click the “Get it now” button.
  • Click the button to “Go to discovery+,” and finish by creating an account.

Already subscribed to Discovery Plus through Verizon? Don’t sweat – you are also eligible for this offer.

After a year, Discovery Plus users can stick with the ad-free plan for $7 for each subsequent month, or $2 less with commercials. Of course, you can cancel after a year, too.

What if I’m not a Verizon customer?

If you’re not a Verizon Unlimited subscriber, you can try out Discovery Plus and stream “Property Brothers,”  “Deadliest Catch,” “Worst Cooks in America,” “Planet Earth II,” “Dirty Jobs,” or “90-day Fiancé” free for a week.

Discovery Plus is available on most streaming platforms and smart devices, including iOS and Android mobile devices, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung smart TVs, Xbox consoles, Chromecast, and web browsers.
