  • The “Harry Potter” movies are now available to stream through the SyFy channel’s on-demand library.
  • To access SyFy on-demand you can use a live streaming service like Sling or Hulu + Live TV.
  • You can also rent “Harry Potter” movies without a subscription through VOD retailers like Amazon.

For fans of the “Harry Potter” movie franchise, subscription streaming options are surprisingly hard to track down.

As recently as August 2020, the series was streaming on HBO Max. The franchise then made an appearance on NBC’s Peacock in October 2020, but has since left the service. For the time being, you can watch the movies on-demand via the SyFy channel on live streaming platforms like Sling or Hulu + Live TV. That said, it’s not clear how long the movies will remain on the network.

The popular fantasy films take place in the Harry Potter Universe, where wizards and people without magical abilities (muggles) coexist. Throughout the series, viewers follow the protagonist, Harry, and his two friends, Hermione and Ron, as they progress through their formative years at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along the way, Harry meets allies and enemies, hones his magic, and unlocks his destiny.

If you’re an existing fan or just someone who wants to watch the movies for the first time, we’ve detailed all the “Harry Potter” streaming options below.

How to watch every ‘Harry Potter’ movie

The “Harry Potter” movies are now available to stream through any service with access to the SyFy channel’s on-demand catalog. That said, the films tend to jump from networks like SyFy to platforms like Peacock and HBO Max on a regular basis. As such, it’s not clear how long you’ll be able watch the movies on SyFy.

Live TV streaming services with access to SyFy include Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, and YouTube TV.

The cheapest of the bunch is Sling TV’s Sling Blue plan at $35 a month. The live TV streaming service offers a total of 44 channels. On-demand titles from select networks are available as well, including the “Harry Potter” movies via SyFy’s on-demand selection.

Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, and YouTube TV also offer the “Harry Potter” movies via SyFy’s on-demand library, but they’re more expensive than Sling TV. Plans for each service start at $65 a month, though they all offer more live channels than Sling.

Are the ‘Harry Potter’ movies on Peacock or HBO Max?

The “Harry Potter” films have previously been available on services like HBO Max and Peacock, but the movies are not currently streaming on either of those platforms.

Due to existing streaming deals, Vulture suggests that the “Harry Potter” movies may alternate between Peacock and HBO Max regularly through 2025. As of April 2021, it’s unclear when the movies will be back on either service.

How to rent ‘Harry Potter’ movies

In addition to live TV streaming services, fans can also rent or buy every “Harry Potter” film on a per-movie-basis through digital rental services. Some of these services include Amazon, RedBox, FandangoNow, Vudu, Google Play, and iTunes.

Pricing for the series varies by service, but most of the movies start at $4 to rent or $15 to buy.

  • “The Voice” is a singing competition with an all-star panel of coaches.
  • The show’s 20th season airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
  • You can watch “The Voice” on cable or through streaming services, like Peacock and Sling Blue.

Premium (4-Month Plan) (small)

“The Voice” has been a staple of the NBC lineup for nearly 10 years. Now, in its 20th season, the singing competition is back with a new roster of contestants.

The new season kicked off on March 1, and features Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Nick Jonas, and John Legend as coaches. Like past seasons, the competition begins with the coaches choosing singers for their teams based on blind auditions.

After that, the show will head to the Battles round, which allows coaches to choose two of their singers to face off. If one of the singers wins, they advance to the Knockouts round. Further rounds lead up to a live performance where the final contestants are narrowed down to a winner by a popular vote by viewers.

Here’s how you can follow along with the competition on cable or through live TV streaming services.

How to watch ‘The Voice’

The latest season of “The Voice” premiered on March 1 on NBC. New episodes air Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. You can watch the show live through cable, over-the-air TV, or streaming services with access to NBC. You can also stream the show through the NBC website or NBC app if you have an authenticated pay-TV account.

Outside of live TV options, on-demand episodes of “The Voice” are available on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service. New episodes are available the day after they air on TV if you have Peacock Premium ($5/month) or Peacock Premium Plus ($10/month). Select episodes are available for free as well.

New members can currently get four months of Peacock Premium for 50% off.

Premium (Monthly Plan) (small)Premium (4-Month Plan) (small)

If you miss any performances, you can also download “The Voice” app to catch up with videos. And, during the live performances portion of the season, you can use the app to vote for your favorite singers.

Live streaming services with NBC

If you want to watch “The Voice” live on NBC without cable, you have a few different options.

One of the cheapest services with NBC is Sling Blue. This option costs $35 a month, and includes access to your local NBC channel. If you sign up today, you can get $10 off your first month.

You can also watch shows on three different devices with Sling Blue. So if someone wants to watch “The Voice” on one device while other people in your house stream a different channel, it’s totally possible.

Be aware, however, that NBC on Sling Blue is only available in select areas. You can check to see if NBC is available in your area via Sling’s website.

Locast is another option to stream NBC. The app is a non-profit streaming service with local channels like NBC, Fox, ABC, and CBS in 29 markets across the country. Though the service is actually free to use, free streams are interrupted by periodic donation requests unless you pay the $5 a month donation fee.

Unlike the other services on this list, however, Locast only includes local stations and there are no DVR features.

Streaming Subscription (small)

If you’re looking for more channels alongside NBC and you don’t mind paying more, then YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, and AT&T TV are all solid options as well. Prices range from $65 to $70 a month.

Though these services are a lot more expensive than Sling or Peacock, they each feature at least 65 live channels, making them a better choice for people who want a true cable alternative.

Premium (4-Month Plan) (small)

Peacock is one of the cheapest streaming services available, with a free option that includes over 13,000-hours of movies and shows. If you want access to the platform’s full library, however, you’ll have to purchase a Peacock Premium plan. For a limited time, new subscribers can get four months of Peacock Premium for 50% off.

With the deal, members can lock in four months of Peacock Premium for a one-time payment of $10. The plan usually costs $5 a month, which would come out to $20 for four months. The promotion expires on April 9. After the four months are up, your subscription will renew automatically for the regular $5 monthly price, but you can cancel at any time.

The Peacock deal comes at an ideal time for wrestling fans. Starting March 18, Peacock Premium will become the new home for WWE Network content. This includes access to pay-per-view events as part of your subscription. The first WWE PPV events on Peacock will be “Fastlane” on March 21 and “WrestleMania” on April 10.

Comedies from NBC’s past are also available on Peacock Premium. Unlike the free Peacock plan that only offers the first two seasons of “The Office,” Peacock Premium lets you binge-watch every episode. There’s also a number of original shows and classic movies, including the “Harry Potter” series.

Peacock is a new streaming service from NBCUniversal.

  • Peacock is a streaming service featuring NBCUniversal TV shows, movies, sports, and news.
  • The base plan is ad-supported so you can watch most of the catalog for free with commercials.
  • Peacock Premium ($5/month) has even more content, and Peacock Premium Plus ($10/month) is ad-free.

Peacock is the on-demand subscription home for NBCUniversal movies and shows, making it the only place to stream hit series like “The Office.” Comcast, NBCUniversal’s parent company, launched free and premium versions of Peacock in July 2020.

Peacock’s rotating library is full of classic Universal movies, including franchises like “Jurassic Park” and “Fast & Furious.” The “Harry Potter” movies are also available on a rotating basis.

The service has brokered deals for new original series produced by Tina Fey and Kevin Hart, as well as rights to stream classic shows like “Law & Order” and “Will and Grace.” A new original series adapting the book “Brave New World” is also available, along with original films, like “Psych 2,” and exclusive documentaries, like Dale Earnhardt Jr’s “Lost Speedways.”

As live sporting events resume in 2021, Peacock will broadcast the Premier League and the 2021 Olympics. The service will also be the exclusive home of WWE Network shows and events starting March 18. A number of popular sports radio shows, including “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Rich Eisen Show,” and “PFT Live with Mike Florio” are streaming exclusively on Peacock, too.

With Peacock now available for everyone nationwide, we’ve broken down some of the basics, including full details on pricing, plans, content, and supported devices.

Peacock Premium gives you early access to late night shows like “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

Peacock’s streaming app is available on Vizio and LG smart TVs, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices, Roku, Android TV, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Chromecast, Xfinity, and Flex devices. The service is also available through its official website. You can browse a full list of supported devices here.

Unfortunately, Fire TV products are still missing official support for the Peacock app.

Is Peacock free?

The base version of Peacock is free, but there are commercials. Peacock promises more than 7,500 hours worth of movies and TV with the free version of Peacock, but you can get access to twice as much content by upgrading to a Peacock Premium plan.

Though Peacock Premium usually requires a subscription fee, if you’re an Xfinity X1 or Flex customer you can access Peacock Premium for free by searching for the app on your Comcast device and entering your email.

How much does Peacock Premium cost?

Peacock Premium costs $5 per month or $50 per year. However, Peacock Premium still has commercials. If you want to watch without ads, you need to upgrade to the Peacock Premium Plus ad-free plan for $10 per month or $100 per year.

The Peacock Premium catalog includes new original series, gives subscribers access to exclusive content from NBC shows, and lets you watch ongoing series, like “Saturday Night Live,” the day after they air on TV.

jurassic world: fallen kingdom
Universal films like “Jurassic World” are available through Peacock on a rotating basis.

Peacock features more than 15,000 hours worth of TV and movies, though you’ll need a Premium subscription to access the full catalog. NBCUniversal says about half of the catalog, more than 7,500 hours worth, is available for free.

You can stream classic NBC shows, like “The Office,” “Law & Order,” “30 Rock,” “Parks & Recreation,” “Friday Night Lights,” and “Saturday Night Live.” Peacock Premium users can access new episodes of ongoing NBC shows the day after they air. Peacock Premium subscribers will also be able to watch new original shows, including a new Tina Fey-produced series called “Girls5Eva,” as well as a new comedy special and an interview show from comedian Kevin Hart .

Peacock even includes exclusive children’s content with new episodes of shows like “Curious George,” “Where’s Waldo,” and “Cleopatra in Space.” Universal kids films, like “Shrek”, “Despicable Me,” and “Trolls World Tour,” will also be part of the Peacock library.
