Roughly one year after they left their royal duties behind, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle discussed what led to their big exit during a CBS interview on March 7.

The interview, conducted by Oprah Winfrey, was a two-hour primetime special that touched on some of the reasons for their departure. The program featured a number of revelations from the two, including that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, made Markle cry. The two also discussed unnamed members of the royal family who had “concerns and conversations” about their son Archie’s skin tone.

CBS filmed the interview before bullying accusations were made against Markle from a number of staff members at Buckingham Palace. On March 3, Buckingham Palace announced it would investigate the accusations.

Roughly one year after they left their royal duties behind, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will discuss their big exit during a new interview tonight on CBS.

The interview, conducted by Oprah Winfrey, is a two-hour primetime special that will touch on some of the reasons for their departure. In clips from the program, Markle discusses the royal family’s role in spreading misinformation about her. Markle also tells Winfrey about feeling pressured to decline interviews with her while she was a member of the royal family. The program will run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

CBS filmed the interview before bullying accusations were made against Markle from a number of staff members at Buckingham Palace. On March 3, Buckingham Palace announced it would investigate the accusations.

If you want to catch Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, here’s how you can watch it tonight on CBS through cable and streaming services.

How to watch ‘Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special’

“Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” will air on March 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. You can watch the program on cable, over-the-air TV, or streaming services with CBS.

You can also stream the interview on CBS.com if you have an authenticated cable plan.

Streaming services with CBS

For easy streaming access to CBS, we recommend Paramount Plus (formerly CBS All Access). The subscription service costs $6 a month for the ad-supported plan, or $10 a month for the commercial-free plan. With that said, the ad-free option still has commercials during live TV.

Both plans currently include access to your local CBS network in most markets. You can see a full list of supported areas here. Subscribers also get access to a huge library of on-demand shows and movies. You can find more information about the service in our full Paramount Plus guide.

If you want to try Paramount Plus, you can sign up for a one-month free trial. However, if you want to continue watching live CBS through the service in the months to come, be aware that the $6/month ad-supported plan will drop to a new $5/month plan in June. The new ad-supported plan will not include live CBS.

Plus Monthly Subscription (small)

Outside of Paramount Plus, Locast is another streaming option with access to CBS. The non-profit service offers dozens of local streaming channels for free in 29 markets across the country.

On the downside, Locast interrupts its streams with donation requests unless you pay the $5 a month donation fee. Its app is also very limited and it only includes local stations.

Streaming Subscription (small)

You can also watch CBS on other live TV streaming services, such as Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, and AT&T TV.

Those streaming services cost significantly more than Paramount Plus, however, with starting prices ranging between $65 and $70 a month. On the plus side, they all provide a larger selection of live channels, including other local stations and several cable networks.

If you’re looking for a true cable alternative, and not just a simple method to stream CBS, then it’s worth paying the extra money for one of these platforms.

Coming 2 America” will continue the story of Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall’s classic 1988 comedy when it debuts on Amazon Prime Video on March 5.

The movie features a star-studded cast of Black actors with new characters played by Wesley Snipes, Tracy Morgan, and Leslie Jones joining familiar faces, like James Earl Jones, John Amos, and Shari Headley.

In “Coming 2 America,” Akeem Joffer (Eddie Murphy), the king of the African nation of Zamunda, returns to New York City to find his estranged adult son and raise him as an heir. Just like in the original, Murphy and Hall will play multiple characters.

The original ” Coming to America” isn’t one of Murphy’s most celebrated comedies among critics, but it’s well remembered for its predominantly Black cast, which included one of Samuel L. Jackson’s first film appearances. The movie was one of the highest box office earners of 1988, earning more than $350 million.

Coming 2 America” was originally planned for a theatrical release in December 2020, but Prime Video purchased the distribution rights to make it a streaming exclusive.

How to watch ‘Coming 2 America’

Coming 2 America” will debut on Amazon Prime Video on March 5. New Prime Video shows and movies usually start streaming at midnight GMT on release day, which would be 7 p.m. ET on March 4 for “Coming 2 America.”

The original “Coming to America” is also available for Prime Video subscribers to stream.

Prime Video is included with the standard Amazon Prime subscription for $13 a month or $119 per year, but you can also subscribe to just Prime Video for $9 a month. New Amazon Prime subscribers get a free 30-day trial, so you can watch “Coming 2 America” and then cancel the service if you don’t want to keep it.

You can find the Prime Video app on Roku, Fire TV, iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, and most smart TVs. Prime Video supports up to 4K resolution with HDR for select titles, though it’s not clear if “Coming 2 America” will support those features.

More than two years after its originally scheduled premiere date, “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” is now available to stream on Paramount Plus.

The film is an entirely 3D-animated adventure featuring your favorites from Bikini Bottom. It follows SpongeBob as he’s set on a path to recover his lost pet Gary the Snail. After Gary goes missing in Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob – along with his starfish friend Patrick – discover that Gary is in the clutches of King Poseidon at the Lost City of Atlantic City.

Voice actors from the “SpongeBob” cartoon, like Tom Kenny, return to voice their iconic characters, while new stars, like actress and comedian Awkwafina, also join the cast.

The film was originally set to debut in theaters in February 2019, but the movie’s US premiere was delayed several times due to the pandemic. The movie did end up playing in Canadian theaters in August 2020 and internationally through Netflix in November 2020.

The March 4 streaming premiere marks the first time “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” is available in the US. Here’s how you can watch it now on Paramount Plus.

How to watch ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run’

“The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” is now available on Paramount Plus. To watch the film, you’ll need a Paramount Plus limited-commercial or commercial-free plan.

The Paramount Plus limited-commercial plan currently costs $6 a month or $60 a year. The commercial-free plan is $10 a month or $100 per year.

Starting in June, Paramount Plus will replace the current limited-commercial option with a cheaper plan for $5 a month. Unlike current options, however, the updated plan will not include live CBS streaming.

The new “SpongeBob” movie premiered on Paramount Plus alongside a new “SpongeBob” prequel series, “Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years.” The show follows a young SpongeBob and other Bikini Bottom favorites as they live life at a summer camp.

Outside of “SpongeBob,” Paramount Plus boasts a catalog of over 2,500 movies and 30,000 TV episodes. New original shows are in the works, including a “Halo” series and an “iCarly” reboot. There’s also live sports you can watch, including soccer and NFL games.

How to watch the 2021 NBA All-Star Game this Sunday on TNT

LeBron James
  • The 2021 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET on March 7.
  • You can watch the event on TNT through cable or live streaming services.
  • At $35 a month, Sling is the cheapest streaming platform with access to the game.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the time-honored tradition of annual sporting events helps to assuage the pain of quarantine, even if most of us will have to curtail plans for our usual in-person gatherings. The NBA All-Star Game, showing off the skills of basketball’s best and brightest each year, is set to proceed on schedule this Sunday despite some protestations from notable players.

Traditionally, the All-Star Game is part of NBA All-Star Weekend, which features a series of competitions over a three-day period. This year, the events will all take place in one night, with the game itself, a Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest all scheduled for March 7.

Last season, the league shook up the All-Star Game format by allowing leading vote-getters to act as captains for team selection, and implemented the Elam Ending to make the final minutes more exciting. That draft format will continue this year with LeBron James and Kevin Durant making selections on March 4 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.

Joining them in the starting lineup are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Bradley Beal, and Kyrie Irving in the East, with Jayson Tatum tabbed as Durant’s fill-in. The West starters include Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Kawhi Leonard, and Luka Doncic. This writer is still a little salty about the exclusion of Damian Lillard, but that’s neither here nor there.

Fans who want to watch the All-Star Game live have several platforms to choose from, including cable and live streaming services. Check out a full rundown of viewing options below.

How to watch the NBA All-Star Game

If you have a cable TV subscription, you can watch the NBA All-Star Game on TNT. The event starts at 6:30 p.m ET on March 7, and the game itself will begin at 8 p.m. ET.  You can also watch the event live using the TNT app on all your favorite platforms, but you need an authenticated pay-TV provider to sign in.

Before the games starts, fans can watch the Skills Challenge and Three-Point Contest at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Slam Dunk Contest will then take place during halftime.

If you don’t have a cable subscription, read on for a breakdown of all the ways you can stream the NBA All-Star Game this weekend.

Streaming services with TNT

For the last decade or so, cable alternatives have become commonplace, offering a slightly more targeted option to those who don’t want to shell out for a hefty cable bill.

They aren’t all that much cheaper than cable anymore – cost creep is real – but many offer free trials and they should all be available on most media devices, whether you use a laptop, a streaming stick, a smart TV, or a game console. For those wondering, neither FuboTV nor PhiloTV currently offer TNT in their streaming packages.

Sling TV

Sling TV is, by now, the elder statesman of the cord-cutting family. Most have heard of Sling and are at least somewhat familiar with how it works. Still, its two-package offering isn’t necessarily self-explanatory.

If getting TNT is your goal, you can opt for either Sling Orange or Sling Blue. The two have different channel packages but both include the Turner flagship network. Each plan costs $35 a month, or you can drop $50 for both combined (this should be called Sling Brown, but it’s not).

Sling Blue allows three simultaneous streams, whereas Orange limits you to one, so keep that in mind if you’ve got friends or family who are also interested. A three-day free trial will get you free access to the All-Star Game if you time it right and remember to cancel.

TV (small)

Youtube TV

Youtube TV may be the most comprehensive offering of any popular live streaming platform, with more than 85 channels, but it’s also one of the priciest, clocking in at $65 a month with no opportunity to pick and choose more svelte packages for less money.

TNT is, of course, included. Currently, the service is offering a two-week free trial, though availability and length does vary, so we can’t currently guarantee that will still be on the table come game time. Youtube TV allows three simultaneous streams.

TV (small)

Hulu + Live TV

If you’re an NBA fan, you probably know Hulu has live sports. I mean, if you haven’t heard it from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Joel Embiid already, are you even a fan? (Just kidding. No gatekeeping here.)

Hulu actually offers less channels than Youtube TV for the same $65 price tag, but it does include access to Hulu’s entire library of on-demand shows and movies. There’s also a nifty $72 monthly bundle that adds access to ESPN+ and Disney Plus, so if you’re a huge sports fan or a parent that’s a viable route.

With Hulu + Live TV, you’ll be able to watch on two devices at once. A seven-day free trial awaits, should you choose to provide your credit card number.

+ Live TV (small)

AT&T TV

AT&T TV is the streaming arm of the telecom giant’s TV division. With the different package tiers, you’re essentially getting the same thing you would get with their cable packages, just boxed up in some different wrapping paper.

The “base” tier, called Entertainment, costs $70 and includes more than 65 channels (like TNT) with a ton of on-demand content to boot. Jump up to the $85 Choice package and you’ll get a “complimentary” subscription to HBO Max and NBA League Pass, plus an extra 25-30 channels. You can watch three simultaneous streams with an AT&T TV account.

If you buy through our links, we may earn money from affiliate partners. Learn more.

Paramount Plus streaming
  • CBS All Access will become Paramount Plus on March 4.
  • The expanded streaming service will feature more shows, new movies, live sports, and CBS content.
  • Before its launch, you can lock in one year of Paramount Plus for as little as $30.

Product Card (small)Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

ViacomCBS is giving its CBS All Access streaming service an all-new look and an expanded lineup of shows and movies on March 4. The overhauled service will be called Paramount Plus

Paramount Plus will continue streaming live CBS (on the premium plan) while also offering new original series and films, like a “SpongeBob Squarepants” movie and a spinoff show. Upcoming Paramount movies, like “A Quiet Place 2,” will also stream exclusively on Paramount Plus after they debut in theaters.

There will also be an assortment of live sports, whether you’re a fan of UEFA soccer action or want to catch your favorite NFL team on Sundays.

The rebrand will take place on March 4, and you can get 50% off a one-year subscription if you sign up for CBS All Access before that date. Just use the code “PARAMOUNTPLUS” at checkout when you subscribe. The discount brings the price of an annual limited-commercial plan down to just $30, while the annual commercial-free plan comes out to $50.

Starting March 4, Paramount Plus (formerly CBS All Access) will cost $10 a month or $100 a year for the commercial-free plan. A new limited-commercial option will be added in June for $5 a month.

Below, we’ve detailed all the ins and outs of Paramount Plus, including pricing, release dates, and what you can expect to watch.

What is Paramount Plus?

Paramount Plus will be the new name for CBS All Access starting March 4.

The rebranded CBS All Access will offer an expansion of the streaming service’s current on-demand lineup while maintaining access to live CBS networks (with the premium plan) and sports content. The streaming service will include programs from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and The Smithsonian Channel.

New and classic movies from Paramount, Miramax, and MGM will be included as well. The library will also feature Paramount Plus originals you won’t find anywhere else.

The new streaming service will keep its predecessor’s huge catalog of classic shows and the rebrand will signal a dive into more of ViacomCBS’ library over the next year. ViacomCBS has previously announced that the rebrand will include the addition of at least 10,000 TV episodes.

When does Paramount Plus launch?

If you’re in the US, Canada, or Latin America, you can start watching Paramount Plus on March 4. Nordic countries will get Paramount Plus on March 25, while Australia is expected to get the streaming service later in 2021.

How much does Paramount Plus cost?

On March 4, Paramount Plus will launch with a premium plan for $10 a month or $100 a year. The premium plan includes live CBS playback with commercials, along with ad-free streaming for on-demand content.

Beginning in June, Paramount Plus will add a cheaper ad-supported plan for $5 a month. It should be noted, however, that the new ad-supported plan will not include live streaming for your local CBS network. For live CBS access, you’ll need the premium plan.

Customers who sign up for CBS All Access before it becomes Paramount Plus on March 4 can lock in a special discounted annual rate. If you enter the code “PARAMOUNTPLUS” at checkout through the Paramount Plus website, you can get one year of the ad-supported plan for $30, or one year of the commercial-free plan for $50. The deal expires today at 11:59 p.m. GMT.

What devices can I use to watch Paramount Plus?

If the rebrand keeps the same devices that CBS All Access already supports, Paramount Plus subscribers can expect compatibility with the following devices:

  • iOS
  • Android
  • Chromecast
  • Roku
  • Apple TV
  • Fire TV
  • Samsung smart TVs
  • Vizio TVs
  • LG TVs
  • Playstation
  • Xbox
  • Portal TV
  • Xfinity Flex

How does Paramount Plus compare to CBS All Access?

Paramount Plus will essentially be an expansion of CBS All Access.

Current CBS All Access members will be transitioned over to Paramount Plus, enabling them to use their same account information. The CBS All Access app will automatically switch to Paramount Plus. This means you’ll get all the same content CBS All Access already offers, along with brand-new shows and more classic titles.

With that said, the new Paramount Plus ad-supported plan won’t launch until June, and it does differ from the current CBS All Access ad-supported plan in one key area. Though the Paramount Plus base plan will costs $1 less each month, it will no longer offer live CBS streaming. You’ll need to have the premium plan in order to keep live CBS access.

What can I watch on Paramount Plus?

Paramount Plus will offer access to live CBS streaming via its premium plan. It will also offer 50% more content than its predecessor in terms of on-demand TV episodes. You can expect to see original content from the likes of Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, MTV, Paramount Pictures, and CBS.

The service will be home to brand-new movies, including all of Paramount’s upcoming theatrical releases 30 to 45 days after they debut on the big screen. This includes major titles like “A Quiet Place 2” and “Mission: Impossible 7.” Older films will also be included. At launch, the service will feature over 2,500 titles, including movies from popular franchises like “James Bond,” “Star Trek,” and more.

New Paramount Plus originals set for release over the next two years will include “Halo,” a show based on the video game series of the same name, and “Y:1883,” a prequel to the popular show “Yellowstone.” If nautical nonsense is something you’re after, a new animated series “Kamp Koral: Spongebob’s Under Years” is set to come out on March 4.

Fans of the classic “Godfather” movies will be happy to see “The Offer,” a limited event series based on the making of the movie. There will also be reboots of shows like MTV’s “Behind The Music” and “The Real World,” BET’s “The Game,” Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” and “Rugrats,” and a “Criminal Minds”-inspired docuseries called “The Real Criminal Minds.”

Of course, existing CBS All Access exclusives will also remain available, including “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Star Trek: Picard,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Stand.”

Time will tell how Paramount Plus stacks up to similar streaming services, like Disney Plus and HBO Max. But, if you can lock in the $30 or $50 deal for a one-year subscription before March 4, the low price alone could make this a very appealing streaming option.

  • The annual awards show honors the best movies and TV series of the year.

Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

Despite a roughly two-month delay due to the pandemic, the Golden Globe Awards are set to air live tonight on NBC. Although the past year has seen a notable drop in theater attendance nationwide, that hasn’t stopped the entertainment industry from releasing several new movies and shows that are worthy of recognition.

Comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the ceremony from two different locations, marking the first bicoastal event in the show’s history. Fey will host the ceremony from New York City’s Rainbow Room while Poehler will host the show from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Nominees will be scattered throughout the world and broadcast from different areas.

Here’s how you can watch and stream the ceremony live without a cable plan.

How to watch the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Before the main event, you can watch the pre-show from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on goldenglobes.com and @goldenglobes on Twitter. A pre-show will also air on NBC at 7 p.m. ET.

You can catch the ceremony on NBC through cable or over-the-air TV. The show will also be broadcast on NBC.com and the NBC app if you have an authenticated pay-TV account. If you want to watch the Golden Globes on NBC without cable, there are several streaming options you can use as well.

Live streaming services with NBC

One of the cheapest live TV streaming options to watch the Golden Globes on is Sling TV. The Sling Blue plan costs $35 a month and offers 44 channels, including your local NBC station. New members can receive a three-day trial. If you don’t want a trial, you can opt for $10 off your first month instead.

NBC is only available in select markets through Sling, so you’ll need to confirm your city is supported before signing up

TV (small)

Locast is another cheap streaming option with access to the Golden Globes. Locast is a non-profit streaming service with local channels, meaning you can watch networks like NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox without having to pay a dime.

With that said, the free option is periodically interrupted by donation requests. You’ll have to pay $5 a month to support the service if you want to avoid pesky interruptions during the Golden Globes and other programs. On the downside, Locast is only available in select markets and it only offers local stations. If you want more channels, you’ll need a service like Sling or Hulu + Live TV.

Streaming Subscription (small)

Other streaming services, like Fubo TV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV, all cost $65 a month and also include NBC in select markets. If you’re looking for the most channels, Fubo TV’s Family plan is the best option with over 122. Meanwhile, Hulu’s service has around 65 channels but it also includes access to all of Hulu’s on-demand shows and movies. YouTube TV is somewhere in the middle, with around 85 channels.

All three services offer a free one-week trial for new members.

AT&T TV will also air the Golden Globes on its local NBC channel. The cheapest non-contract plan costs $70 per month. You can sign up for a two-year contract and pay $60 per month for your first year, but you’ll be locked into increased payments in your second year.

Unlike most of the other services in this article, AT&T TV does not include a free trial.

Peacock subscribers can watch the Golden Globes the day after it airs

If you want even more content, you can sign up for the $5 a month Peacock Premium plan, or the $10 a month Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free) plan. The streaming service includes classic comedies like “Parks & Recreation” and “The Office,” along with movies such as “Kick-Ass” and “I Am Legend.”
