(JAN-MAY)Post Affiliate programs Invitations here – all other posts will be removed

This is the NEW thread for affiliate managers to post their programs. And for affiliates like YOU to find them.

This is where we post affiliate programs, not as normal posts. I will remove them, and I will ban you.

Please explain your program! Don’t just leave a link and a name to your site or program. NO BITLY LINKS OR SIMILAR (reddit already has built-in link cloaking) NO TRAINING, WEBINARS, NOTHING LIKE THAT – I will be even more strict this time about approving and removing posts in these threads. This is meant for people to find proper affiliate programs that otherwise might be unseen.

[MAY-AUG] Casual Affiliate Marketing Question Thread

This thread should be used for posting questions about anything affiliate marketing related. Some small questions might not deserve an entire post so it can be easier to just discuss things in a sticky thread instead.

No promotion of any kind is allowed. However I will allow you to link to your own site IF you need help with the site in question – blatant promotion or backlink spreading will not be allowed and I reserve full authority over what will be removed and what won’t.

Do you build 1 email sequence promoting a single product promotion in each email, or do you promote a different product (of the same niche) in each of the email?

I’m thinking pick a niche, give away a free ebook and collect email, then in each email link to a different product of this niche.

But is this a good strategy? How many products/email would you send? (Like 5-10?)

If you’re doing let’s say health and wellness, what kinda product examples (and how many) would you be promoting?

Or should you focus all your emails on the same product, showing different benefits in each email?

Do you need lots of content really fast? AI writer

My friend and I developed an AI writer. We can train it to write just the way you want with the data we feed it. So if you’re looking for niched content in bulk, let’s work together.

Our articles score at least 98% on Grammarly, extremely contextual (our need to train for specific writing) and are 100% unique.

We can guarantee up to 100 articles a day.

EDIT: Our AI wrote everything above by the way 😉 Oh and it can write in any language you want (has to be a well translated language though)

Gather Network: Monetizing sites without ads

Has anyone checked out Gather network? This is still in early stages, but they are accepting early adopters (for a fee though). Basically it allows website owners to monetize their pages without ads. This works by the visitor agreeing to lend their processing power, which is very miniscule and won’t affect their device’s performance. The prompt would look like the pop up for web cookies so it’s not intrusive.

Email Services for Restricted Niches/Verticals

Problem: If you’ve tried to do affiliate marketing in one of the commonly restricted niches, you might find out sooner or later the hard way that not every email service will work with every vertical.

These niches are actually pretty common and you would be surprised by what niches many ESPs say they don’t allow.

Some do not allow affiliate marketing as the niche (promoting affiliate marketing as a way to make money, not promoting affiliate offers.)

Obviously if you conduct your business very professionally you will have less issues.

When working with those niches, I personally recommend using Mautic or Sendy and using an MTA like Amazon SES.

The absolute worst case scenario would be if those SMTP servers will not work with you (likely due to being an adult website) you can install and configure a server like Postal from Atech. Note: Most MTAs will still work with it as long as the language is not vulgar and there is no adult content in the emails themselves. The rules vary from service to service.

Is this solution easy? No honestly it is very difficult compared to using something like MailChimp, but if they won’t work with you, then you really don’t have an option.

Here’s a list of common options for email marketing automation options and whether they restrict the relatively harmless niches of gambling or dating.

Reminder: Affiliate links should never go in emails. They should always be on a page on your site, even if your landing page is just a bridge page that forwards them with a javascript redirect.

Note: This list is by in no means exhaustive and may not be 100% accurate.

Confused about affiliate cookies

I was curious as to how affiliate cookies work in this sense. I know that depending on the company they have different periods of time where an affiliate could be credited with a purchase and rewarded.

But for example what if I click on an amazon affiliate link for a product, but then close the app without adding it to my cart. Later in the day open the amazon app and buy the product without using the affiliate link I clicked earlier that day. Would that affiliate still be rewarded commission on the purchase that I make?

Thank you for the help!

Help this stressed intern out please

I’m working as an intern for an organisation that provides business conferences with motivational speakers etc. This year we’re launching a streaming platform that is almost like a Netflix version of our annual conference. I’ve been asked to find affiliates for our website and I’m unsure where to begin, can anyone tell me where I should begin looking? You would be helping this nervous intern out big time! Thank you
